WOW MKTG Celebrates 20 Years with Dolphins Cancer Challenge Launch

It was a night of purpose and celebration at WOW MKTG’s Coral Gables headquarters. The award-winning agency marked its 20th anniversary in grand style with its signature Level 5 reception, while proudly hosting the official launch of the 16th Annual Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC XVI).

The Dolphins Cancer Challenge—the largest fundraising event in the NFL—has raised more than $75 million since its founding in 2010 to benefit WOW client partner Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center in South Florida. The DCC served as the evening’s centerpiece, underscoring WOW MKTG’s commitment to amplifying causes that create lasting community impact.

During the celebration, WOW MKTG Founder and President Jose “Pepe” Dans announced a milestone that speaks to the agency’s culture of purpose: WOW became the first company to achieve 100 percent employee registration for this year’s event.

“This is very personal to me,” said Dans. “My father died of cancer and my wife is a breast cancer survivor. Cancer touches everyone—whether it’s you, a family member, a friend, or someone you know. When that happens, it’s crucial that patients have access to the most advanced treatments possible. That’s why Sylvester is so important. I could not be prouder of our team for standing together in this fight.”

The evening drew hundreds of guests, including Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega, Sylvester Director Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, DCC Executive Director Javier Sanchez, community leaders, client partners and media. Guests experienced Level 5’s hallmark energy—connection, community, and memorable moments. Several companies joined on the spot, registering their teams under Team WOW which is a team under University of Miami’s Team Hurricane.

DCC XVI is on track to surpass $100 million in cumulative fundraising, advancing groundbreaking cancer research and patient care at Sylvester. Join Team WOW and make a difference in this year’s challenge–register or donate here.
