Say hello to Jose. We call him Pepe. He’s the master of creating experiences, a mathematical wizard, and our fearless leader. Pepe is WOW MKTG’s Founder and President and sets the tone for our agency. He is an inspiring philanthropist, a tireless visionary and a constant spark of energy.
Pepe started WOW 14 years ago in 2005 and has never looked back, forging forward to evolve the premiere events marketing firm in South Florida into one of the fastest growing full-service marketing agencies in the region. He has meticulously hand-selected his team of experienced industry experts to help him lead his cross-disciplinary vision for a new, more streamlined agency service approach.
At this moment, Pepe is likely somewhere doing well by someone or at the office gushing with excitement over an idea or opportunity. Incredible attention to detail and a genuine care for his work, clients, and employees – Pepe embodies what it means to be a great leader. Tip: if you’re meeting with Pepe, have some chocolate on hand, he’s a sucker for sweets!
Meet Betsy, champion softball player, MVP mom, and WOW MKTG’s Client Service Director. Betsy is the captain of WOW’s A-Team, guiding client strategies and leading an experienced account service team to skillfully navigate client relationships, requests and agency deliverables.
Betsy brings 20+ years of big game experience. She’s held various positions including, Group Account Director for Zubi Advertising, Southeast Advertising Manager for Time Inc., and Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Simply Healthcare Plans. She’s also active in the community, Past President of the American Advertising Federation of Miami and currently involved in her children’s school PTO as President Emeritus.
On an average day, you’ll find Betsy rolling up her sleeves, going the extra mile and rallying the team to glory. Spirited, experienced and committed, Betsy is an all-star teammate who never drops the ball.
This is Felix. He’s probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, a certified Eagle Scout, and WOW MKTG’s head Creative Director. Felix is the man. He leads our multidisciplinary Creative team in delivering award-winning, strategically developed concepts, art and copy for integrated campaigns.
Felix came up the agency ranks in Puerto Rico, with stops at global agencies like Wing Latino and Circulo LOWE, continuing on to República in Miami. He has built and led creative teams at multiple stops, developing talent and world-class creative campaigns for national and international clients.
Bosses give orders and leaders give direction – Felix is a true leader in every sense. On a given day, you’ll find Felix coaching his diverse team, presenting with flair or mocking up a masterful layout. A true collaborator, trust in Felix to start you a fire or build you a resourceful and effective campaign out of twigs and tinder (imagine what he can do with a budget!).
Meet Yoly, WOW MKTG’s resident doomsday prepper and also our standout Director of Event Marketing. Yoly leads our impressive Event Marketing team, from soup to nuts. Together they make experiences come to life and make the impossible reality, an impressive feat. If it can be imagined, Yoly and her team will get it done.
Yoly is a WOW lifer, having been here since almost the beginning. She worked for FIU as a research assistant for four years before transitioning to WOW MTKG and eventually becoming Director of Event Marketing. Yoly and her team have put together mind-blowing experiences for thousands of people featuring drink, food, entertainment, promotions, demonstrations, discussions at spectacularly designed, produced and managed events – for companies like Disney, Budweiser, Univision and UHealth, as well as large organizations such as The American Cancer Society, Miami Children’s Museum among others.
On a given day, Yoly is pulling off the unlikely and making it look easy. Her calm demeanor gives her clients peace of mind that the team is on top of it and everything is handled. No matter the challenge, whether a large scale consumer event, a fancy gala or a zombie apocalypse, Yoly is fully prepared with a plan – and a backup plan.
Introducing Gigi. She’s more than WOW MKTG’s Finance Director, she’s also our air traffic control. In addition to keeping our numbers in check, Gigi also leads our HR efforts, Operations and a team of math whizzes’ who make sure what’s coming in is more than what’s going out.
Gigi brings more than 25 years of business experience to WOW. She spent the first 17 years of her career working in business and government law before moving into an entrepreneurial role owning, consulting and managing startup businesses. Gigi’s legal, business and government background makes her the perfect in-house advisor.
On a given day, you might find Gigi signing a check or an offer letter, solving a crisis with building maintenance or legal counsel, or offering you a Hershey’s Kiss and a smile. She’s kind of like home.
This is Diana. She’s a huge sports fan, loves Broadway musicals, and is also our Communications Director. Diana skillfully crafts the right messages for intended audiences and delivers it through the appropriate channels – oh, and she does it bilingually. She leads our Communications team, which is responsible for the strategy and execution of public relations and influencer marketing efforts.
A proud University of Florida alum, she’s the immediate past president of the UF Association of Hispanic Alumni and a member of the Junior League of Miami and is a volunteer for Autism Speaks Miami.
Her professional experience includes working on major public relations and social media initiatives for large national accounts at República, rbb Communications, and The Conroy Martinez Group.
At this moment, Diana is probably delivering something flawless to someone. It’s what she does. From leading client communication strategies to helping young professionals excel, Diana never fails to inspire. To get on her good side, we recommend bringing her ham croquetas.
Say hi to Diego, Disney’s number one fan and WOW’s Director of Digital Media. Diego is cool under pressure and a true expert in developing and executing data-based strategies to drive clients’ ROI via any and every paid digital and social media channel.
Diego has 25+ years of wearing multiple hats and experiencing various sides of the industry – client and agency, accounts and media, multicultural and multi-channel. His past experience includes Account Director at Accentmarketing Communications and SapientNitro, VP – Digital Strategy for TMP Worldwide, and VP – Digital Strategy & Media for Starmark International.
On any given day, you can find Diego leading his crafty Digital Media and Analytics team to build, monitor, and optimize client digital media plans to get the most efficiency and results out of every dollar spent. Whether carving out new media territories or geolocating himself on It’s a Small World with a Snap-filtered selfie – Diego always brings the magic.
Meet Roxana, WOW MKTG’s first (and most fashionable) employee, as well as our Associate Media Director. A fashionista, perfectionista and remarkable negotiator – Roxana leads all media investments, promotions and activations for clients like the Adrienne Arsht Center, CVS Health, Navarro Discount Pharmacy, and The Miami Dade County Youth Fair.
Roxana’s journey with WOW MKTG started at the very beginning in 2005. Over the years she evolved from Event Manager to Media Investment Manager. Finding her calling, Roxana’s sharp, no-nonsense approach has helped her build a strong reputation throughout the industry. Roxana knows everybody and everybody knows her.
On an average day, Roxana can be found calling in a favor, edging down a rate or leading her team to secure added value. Roxana makes great decisions and has great taste, not only in fashion but also in the snacks she brings to office meetings.
Say hello to Cata. She’s a big city media expert and an Associate Media Director at WOW MKTG. Cata loves her job and she’s really good at it. If there’s a lower rate Cata will get it. If there isn’t a lower rate, Cata will still get it.
Cata’s impressive resume is as vast as her shoe closet, having led media teams and contributed at global agencies such as D. Exposito & Partners working on media campaigns for clients such as Amway, AARP, Census 2010, Kare Distribution, McDonald’s, U.S. Army and Vivaro Corporation.
Right now, Cata is probably meeting with a sales representative and using our overarching media buying power to negotiate on behalf of a client. With Cata on the team, it’s almost unfair how good we are.
Introducing Xavier, the tallest secret weapon you can imagine and our Interactive Production Director. He’s like Neo from The Matrix, plugged in and harnessing a world of code and tech to engineer sites, apps and interactive units for WOW MKTG’s clients.
Xavier began his career 16 years ago as graphic designer and animator, transitioning into interactive design and development early in his career. He perfected his diverse talents at local startups and boutique digital shops, before leading the Interactive Development team at South Florida agency República. Xavier has seen it all from landing pages for Google, to complex sites for banks and pharmaceutical brands. He brings big game experience having also done work for brands like Burger King, Four Seasons, Nielsen, Toyota, NBCUniversal and even the White House.
Right now, Xavier is probably combining code and creativity, leading our Interactive Production team to construct the next great tech innovation. He also may be logging in to remotely control the temperature, security cameras or sprinklers at his home. Whether architecting an interactive masterpiece or plugging into the borg, Xavier makes the impossible look easy.
This is Jessica, but you can call her Jessy. A fierce and fabulous negotiator, Jessy is WOW MKTG’s Associate Media Director leading media investments and promotions for a wide range of clients.
If there’s one word to describe Jessy it’s determined. She joined our WOW family in 2012 as an executive assistant and grew into her role as a skilled media buyer. Jessy loves WOW and we love her. She was so committed to working at our agency she said she would’ve started off cleaning floors if it were her last resort.
A proven team player and self-proclaimed trendsetter, if Jessy can dream it, she will achieve it.
She thrives on short timelines and last-minute changes. Right now, you’ll probably find Jessy securing the best rate for clients while rocking the most beautiful earrings. Not only does Jessy have impeccable taste in jewelry, but she also brings more than 10 years of marketing experience in television, radio, print and out-of-home audiences.
